Hotel Terraza hosted yesterday evening the presentation of the latest issue of the magazine “Terres Catalanes” edited by the French group L’Indépendant and devoted exclusively to Cataluña, under the headline “10 gourmet getaways to Cataluña”. The chosen destinations are Rupit, Calella de Palafrugell, Castellar de n’Hug, l’Escala-Empúries, Llívia, Puigcerdà, Oix, Les Salines, Camprodón and Cadaqués.
This is the first time the magazine Terres Catalanes suggest to its readers the catalan territory beyond the Pyrinées. It has also been the first time that a bilingual Catalan-French edition is out, it also the first time that the magazine is available in the Catalan newsstands. Based on the general manager of l’Indépendant, Phillipe Campa, the aim is its continuity.
The event was chaired by Jean-Paul Alduy, president of the cluster of municipalities Perpinyà-Mediterrani, and by the president of the Diputació de Girona, Jaume Torremadé. Both highlighted the already existing economic and tourist connections between the North Catalunya and the South Cataluña, and also the need to maintain and to drive similiar iniciatives.
The host of the evening was Miquel Gotanegra, representing the Grup Terraza and the Gotanegra family, who acknolegded the support received for the organization of the event. The celebration was closed by Montserrat Mindán, representative of the Roses government, highlighting the importance of the French tourism in Roses and reminding its recent entrance in the exclusive club of the best bays in the world. The evening was closed by a buffer dinner offered by Hotel Terraza.
